Radia is built with a simple principle: your data belongs to you, stays on your device, and isn't shared with anyone — including me. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.
The app keeps the following information locally, using Apple's SwiftData framework:
If you sign in to iCloud on your device and have iCloud Drive enabled, Radia uses Apple's CloudKit service to sync your data across your own Apple devices. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, lives in your private iCloud container, and is never accessible to me or any third party. Apple's privacy policy governs this sync — see apple.com/legal/privacy.
You can disable iCloud sync for Radia at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
Radia requests permission to use your camera and photo library so you can attach before and after shots to a session. Photos you add are stored inside the app's local SwiftData database (and synced via CloudKit if enabled). They are not uploaded anywhere else.
Radia offers an optional integration with Apple Health. If you enable it in Settings, each saved session is written to Apple Health as a mindful minutes sample so your red light practice shows up alongside meditation and breathwork.
Radia only writes to Apple Health — it does not read your Health data. You can revoke Radia's write access at any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
Radia uses iOS local notifications for optional daily reminders and weekly summaries. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device; no information about them leaves your phone.
Radia offers a one-time $6.99 purchase to unlock Pro features. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store via StoreKit, with no third-party payment processor and no personally identifying information leaving your device. The entitlement is restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID.
Radia is a logging tool — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Red light therapy (photobiomodulation) is a practice with its own body of research; Radia neither endorses specific protocols nor makes claims about health outcomes. Please consult a qualified professional for medical questions.
Radia is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect that. Material changes will be noted in App Store release notes.
